Stop the Crash – Sepang, Malaysia

Today’s vehicle safety technologies are capable of preventing many types of crashes rather than just protecting the occupants when one occurs. Collectively these technologies can help make a significant impact on the more than 3,000 people killed on our roads every day across the world.

The #STOPTHECRASH Partnership, with the support from the New Car Assessment Programme for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) will be organising:

Stop the Crash ASEAN 2016 from 29 to 30 November 2016 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

The #STOPTHECRASH Partnership which is led by Global NCAP is a new initiative to promote crash avoidance technologies, the 2016 ASEAN demonstrations will include:

– Electronic stability control (ESC)
– Autonomous emergency braking (AEB)
– Anti-lock braking system (ABS) for motorcycles
– Tyre safety
– Blind spot monitoring

The ASEAN event will be the third official Stop the Crash event since its launch in 2016, it will also be the first event in the ASEAN region.

The event will feature a VIP and media launch on 29 November with a special hands on demonstration session for the media prior to the launch. Stop the Crash demonstration will then be opened to the public on the following day, 30 November, so that the public can learn how these life-saving technologies can make roads safer in the ASEAN region.
